Gerardo Escobar Mesa and Enriqueta Ceballos, a couple from Antioquia, Colombia, established Finca Samaria in 1934 after purchasing a small plot of land just outside the municipality of Belén de Umbría.
As a beautiful testament to Colombia's devotion to coffee cultivation, the Risaralda region boasts rich soil, elevations between 1,000 and 2,000 meters above sea level, stable temperatures, and abundant rainfall. These pristine conditions, paired with a dedicated local workforce, yield some of the world's most exquisite coffees.
