OH, HONEY HONEY
Our first-ever honey-processed coffee from Samaria Estate delivers a perfect balance of bright red acidity, sweetness and texture. This Tabi variety is a treat for serious filter brewers looking for something a little more dynamic; bright and juicy with contrasting notes of toasted wafer and red berry. If you’re not afraid of acidity, enjoy fruit forward flavours and lots of sweetness; this offering from the wonderful folks at Samaria estate is a little mind blowing.

A STICKY SITUATION
The "honey process" simply refers to the unique method of preparation. The skin of the coffee cherry is removed, leaving a sticky, honey-like layer of mucilage on the bean before it's laid out to dry in the sun. This technique results in a sweeter, brighter, heavier bodied cup.

SAMARIA ESTATE
Gerardo Escobar Mesa and Enriqueta Ceballos, a couple from Antioquia, Colombia, began Finca Samaria in 1934 after purchasing a small plot of land just outside the municipality of Belén de Umbría. A beautiful example of Colombia's devotion to coffee cultivation, Risaralda is home to rich soil, elevations between 1000 and 2000 meters above sea level, low oscillations in temperature, and abundant rainfall. Pristine conditions and a labor force primarily employed in coffee production has resulted in some of the world's most exquisite coffees.
